Spartacus Cory Booker has taken it upon himself to save the down trodden, trying to enter the United States.
He is so brave.
He personally crossed the southern border into Mexico to help five women become American citizens.
That’s right, a sitting United States senator personally crossed into Mexico to defy the Trump administration’s immigration asylum policy.
Booker is upset with the Trump administration’s “Remain in Mexico” policy that forces asylum seekers to return to Mexico to wait while their asylum claims are processed.
Seems reasonable, doesn’t it?
The asylum seekers are not American citizens and have no right to be in the country.
Besides, I thought American detention centers are reprehensible, that is what the Democrats keep telling us.
Of course, Booker is doing this as a publicity stunt to appeal to Democrat primary voters. He is way behind in the polls, needs a kick-start to his campaign and is hoping that this political stunt will do the trick.
Senator Booker dawned his Spartacus armor and prepared for battle. He was willing to put his security at risk to bring the five migrants to America. (Well, he had a security team around him, but you get the point.)
The overly dramatic Cory Booker recounted his quest into Mexico.
Never missing an opportunity to fain drama, the prima donna provided a recounting of his perilous journey into Mexico.
He tweeted, “Today I crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in El Paso with @fams2gethere and @LasAmericasAC to help five women present themselves for asylum. These are my observations. Please don’t look away.”
How could we possibly look away? Booker is so important, after all.
He continued, ”This is a crisis that demands an urgent answer. God-willing we will answer that call with the change that we need and the fight to make it happen.”
What a powerful statement. If that doesn’t give you chills I don’t know what else will.
Our brave warrior went on to detail the terrible conditions these women were living in, in Mexico.
If his stories are true, it is obviously a cruel situation for the women. That being said, it is not the responsibility of the United States government to guarantee the well-being of noncitizens. They might very well win their asylum case, but as of this moment, they are not American citizens.
A sitting United States senator should not be crossing into Mexico to bring back asylum seekers. He needs to let the system play itself out.
Booker isn’t the only Democrat trying to circumvent the immigration system.
Democrat Rep. Veronica Escobar from Texas is sending her staff to Mexico to find and coach migrants, who are trying to exploit a loophole to game the asylum process.
She is breaking the law by doing so.
According to the Washington Examiner, the National Border Patrol Council’s El Paso chapter and several CBP agents, Escobar’s staff is trying to find migrants that have been returned from El
Paso, Texas to Mexico under the “Remain in Mexico” policy. Then, coaching them to pretend they cannot speak Spanish to exploit a loophole letting them return to the U.S.
The loophole they are referring to is the requirement that those who don’t speak Spanish are pushed to the front of the line — remaining in Mexico requires the detained migrant to speak Spanish — because they may have to remain in the country for five years.
By pretending not to speak Spanish, Escobar’s staff is helping these asylum seekers cut to the front of the line.
The Democrats are openly calling for laws to be broken to advance their open borders policy.
They are not hiding their true intentions anymore.
