When it comes to political polls, I’ve said the same thing for YEARS: Political polls aren’t accurate because most Conservatives refuse to take them.
I myself have been asked NUMEROUS times to take polls, but I’ve refused each time simply because I had other things to do with my time besides sit with a stranger in person or on the phone.
However, there’s another reason that Conservatives don’t really take polls, and it has to do with the current political climate.
The truth is that not many Conservatives feel comfortable talking about their political ideology anymore (at least not in public) for fear of backlash from those around them.
Somehow, the Left has convinced their people that if somebody holds Conservative values, then they’re pure evil and no true discourse can be had.
If a Conservative talks about their beliefs anywhere they can be overheard, it’s not uncommon for Leftists to interject themselves into the conversation, belittling their views and sometimes resorting to verbal or even physical attacks on them.
I’ve seen it with my own two eyes…
And while I realize that’s nothing more than anecdotal evidence, to me, it’s the absolute gospel of relations between the two political ideologies.
Conservatives Don’t Take Polls… OFTEN
So, especially if we’re in public, we’ll likely avoid taking polls just to avoid any tension that may arise from the revelation of our viewpoints.
If we’re at home, we’re apt not to take polls because we have much better things to do with our time than sit there with a stranger answering questions.
And that’s something the polls won’t show you…
Conservatives are less willing to be open about their views, so they avoid polls way more than Liberals do.
But on very rare occasions, we’ll sometimes make our opinions known, and the reaction is priceless. Here’s an example…
Recently, I received a call from an unknown number. Usually, I ignore numbers I don’t know and just send them to voicemail. Oftentimes they just hang up, rarely leaving a message, though sometimes I’ll hear a recording of a robot asking me about my credit or my car insurance.
However, this particular night, I had the time and decided to answer the phone. The number was semi-local and thought it may be somebody I knew trying to get a hold of me….
When I answered, a male voice asked if I was in and if I had time to take a survey.
Normally, I’d hang up the phone without saying a word…
But then I started thinking about how underrepresented the Right is in these polls – and since I had nothing better to do, I decided to sit through it.
Having Fun And Ruining Days
To my utter surprise (and enjoyment) it was a survey about the election asking how I felt on issues that they apparently hoped that I would find important.
The interviewer asked me a few different questions—most of which I can’t remember—but a few stood out to me…
And of course, in the typical fashion of the Left’s leading questions, they all dealt with how I “felt.”
“Do you feel that healthcare is an important issue for Americans?”
My answer: “No, I do not.”
He moved on…
“Do you feel compassion is essential to being a good president?”
“No, I do not. Being able to run the country efficiently and morally is way more important.”
“How important do you think the economy is?”
“Would you say it’s more important than healthcare?”
“Is your mind made up for which candidate you’re planning on voting for?”
“Yes, it is… Donald J. Trump”
“Yes, sorry, sir…”
“Are there any more questions?”
“No… no, sir. Thank you, for answering these questions – have a nice night.”
Man, that was fun…
But then again, it’s always fun to make a Liberal squirm.
So, let this be a lesson to you…
If you get the chance and have the time, you should consider doing one of these surveys…
You may get to ruin a Liberal’s day!
“The polls are just being used as another tool of voter suppression. The polls are an attempt to not reflect public opinion, but to shape it. Yours. They want to depress the heck out of you.” – Rush Limbaugh
