What happened to American sports?
Our professional athletes used to be paragons of masculinity and aggression, but sometime in the last 30 years of political correctness, they’ve lost that. Now we just have a bunch of entitled crybabies who expect the world handed to them on a silver platter while they demand that you listen to their political views.
We’ve got people like LeBron James who will flop whenever given the chance, talking badly about our law enforcement officers only to turn around and defend China, a country that is literally holding people in concentration camps and using them as slave labor.
But “the King” isn’t the only athlete kowtowing to the communist regime.
Recently, professional wrestler and actor John Cena posted a video apologizing to China for calling Taiwan a “country”—and for the record, it IS a country, but the Chinese government considers it one of their territories.
The apology, spoken in Mandarin, sees Cena begging the people of China to forgive him for making a “mistake.”
Too bad it only succeeded in making him look like an idiot.
But as un-American as these two sports world “icons” are coming being, at least there is still SOME true American grit left in American sports, and of course it comes from the toughest sport on the planet: Mixed Martial Arts.
The Last Great American Sport
Mixed Martial Arts has become one of the fastest-growing and most popular sports in America, with the pinnacle being the American-started, American-owned Ultimate Fighting Championship, otherwise known as the UFC.
The UFC is run by Dana White, a personal friend to Donald Trump and a TRUE Conservative…
He’s the man responsible for bringing sports back during the pandemic, he’s never let the Liberal mob dictate what he can and can’t do, and he’s a genuine character to boot.
However, besides White, the UFC has got some other interesting characters to offer.
You may have heard of people like Tito Ortiz, Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, or “Captain America” Randy Couture—all huge names from the rise of the sport.
However, if you’re newer, you may know a few different names…
Jon “Bones” Jones, “All-American” Chris Weidman, or Conor McGregor, a fighter that acts more American than many on the Left.
However, if there is one man that is the closest thing to a professional wrestling, larger-than-life character, it would have to be Colby Covington.
Colby made a name for himself over the past few years when he won the interim belt in his weight class and brought it to the Oval Office to meet then President Trump.
He wears a MAGA hat everywhere he goes…
He’s loud and rude to his opponents…
And he PROUDLY carries and an American flag into every fight.
Now, while I’m sure some of that is for show, Covington does have a genuine love for our country and true respect for Donald Trump and Conservatism.
When asked why he chose to back Trump and the MAGA movement, Covington said, “The reason is the truth: I like facts. That’s how I live my life. I base it on facts. I don’t live in an alternate world. I don’t listen to mainstream fake news. I listen to facts, and what the MAGA movement’s about is the truth. I’m all about exposing the truth and letting the people of America know that you don’t have to just be on the left side [to] line your pockets and bow down to the woke mob. You can be on the right side, the good side, and live a life full of truth.”
That’s what makes him one of the last of the REAL American athletes in an organization that will NEVER bow down to the woke mob as long as CEO and Trump friend Dana White is around.
So, when certain athletes’ recent behavior towards China was brought to Chaos” Covington’s attention, he definitely had an opinion.
Colby Takes Down Crybabies With Cold Hard Facts
Appearing on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, Colby had this to say about athletes like LeBron James: “I just see all the hypocrisy from Lebron. He claims to be about social justice, but he won’t say, ‘Free Hong Kong.’ He won’t talk about the Uyghurs that are locked up in concentration camps in China. He won’t talk about all the women that he’s profiting off of in his Chinese sweatshops that are making all his shoes for a dollar that he’s coming over to America and selling them for hundreds and profiting millions off of here in America.
I just wanted to call a spade a spade. I wasn’t going to let him just dupe the people and make the people think that he’s a social justice warrior and he’s on this pedestal. No, LeBron James is not on a pedestal. That guy is a piece of crap. He’s a piece of garbage. He uses that school that he’s funding as a tax write-off, and then he wants to claim like he’s some good guy. No, he’s not a good guy. All he cares about is lining his own pockets and bowing down to China.
The real heroes in this country are the heroes of law enforcement, are the heroes in military. Those are the people that are protecting our freedoms and fighting for us every day, and sacrificing the ultimate sacrifice — their lives — to keep us free.”
Well said, Colby. Well said indeed.
But that wasn’t our favorite part.
It wasn’t until he talked about John Cena that things really took a turn for the entertaining.
Covington said, “LeBron James, John Cena, the Chinese finger puppets, they’re a joke. He is a fake fighter. I’m a real fighter and take people’s brain cells and I knock them out. He does some scripted stuff and bows down to his Chinese finger puppets.”
Interesting and seemingly accurate.
It would be awesome if people like LeBron and Cena took a page out of Colby’s book…but it’s doubtful. They care too much about their bottom line and not enough about the country that gave them the ability to get paid millions of dollars doing what they do.
Too bad it’s not the other way around…
“Whatever it is that you’re passionate about, whatever it is that you absolutely love, and whatever it is that you would get up out of bed every day and do for free, you should try to figure out a way to make money at it and give it a shot.” – Dana White
