There has been much talk recently about the Democrats’ $3.5 Trillion “Build Back Better” reconciliation bill and the $1.9 trillion infrastructure bill that has been tied to it.

Putting aside the fact that the country can’t afford one of the proposed pieces of legislation, let alone both, polls show that Liberals are all for the legislation…until they need to pay for it themselves.

In 2016, Vox polled only Bernie Sanders’ plans for universal health care and free college tuition. According to Jonah Goldberg, “Two-thirds said the most they’d be willing to pay in additional taxes for ‘free’ health care was $1,000 per year, about $83 per month. This number includes the 8 percent of Sanders supporters who said they wouldn’t be willing to pay anything for universal health care

“A Washington Post poll in 2019 found that 68 percent of Americans supported taxing ‘wealthy families’ to pay for fighting climate change. But when asked if they would agree to pay an extra $2 a month on their electric bills, support fell to less than 47 percent. That same year, an AP-NORC poll asked people if they’d be willing to spend $10 more a month on their energy bills to fight climate change. Some 68 percent of respondents said nope.”

The socialist thought leader, Comrade Bernie Sanders, talks a good game until it comes to using his own income to help others.

Despite talking about how the rich should pay their “fair share,” he and his wife gave just 3.4% of their income to charitable causes in 2019. Bernie is a millionaire, so apparently, capitalism isn’t that bad.

He also received a tax cut from President Trump’s tax law. However, he refused to pay more to the federal treasurer than he was required to by law. Bernie is rich — by his own definition, he should be paying more his “fair share.”

Sanders once proclaimed that America is not a compassionate nation.

He said, “No, we are not a compassionate society. In terms of our relationship to poor and working people, our record is worse than virtually any other country on Earth. We have the highest rate of childhood poverty of any major country, and half our senior older workers have nothing set aside for retirement, so I don’t think compared to other countries we are particularly compassionate.”

That is false. Americans give more to charity than any nation on earth ($585 billion). And where does most of that funding come from?

Answer: the top 1%.

So as Democrats continue their internal party civil war, remember that these hypocrites aren’t willing to pony up the extra dough for the programs they are proposing, and neither are everyday liberals on the streets.

However, the top 1% will pay for it. They must pay their fair share!

Of course, out could confiscate the entire yearly income of the wealthiest Americans and it wouldn’t even be enough for a down payment for their Leviathan social engineering programs.

But facts don’t matter to liberals when they get in the way of their narrative.

The Democratic Party is the party of collective spendthrifts and individual cheapskates.
