The world has officially gone nuts…
The people of California have almost no use and even less regard for the US Constitution, and now they’re now charging people who disagree with their Leftist agenda with hate crimes…even if those “crimes” are against an explicitly Marxist organization masquerading as a movement for equality.
That seems crazy…
But let’s unpack the incident and see where it falls.
Recently, two residents of Martinez, California—identified as Nichole Anderson and David Nelson—decided they didn’t agree with the large “Black Lives Matter” mural that was painted on the street in front of the Wakefield Taylor Courthouse.
So, they decided to paint over the TEMPORARY mural (yes… it was only meant to be temporary and the couple just decided to move up the time frame). Taking a few gallons of black paint, they commenced to dumping it on the big yellow letters and started painting over the words.
Well, they disagree with the message…
Regardless of their reasoning, the Black Lives Matter movement IS led by the Black Lives Matter organization, an openly Marxist group that only cares about black lives when it’s convenient and is focused on destroying the black nuclear family.
Likely disagreeing with the movement for many reasons, these two American citizens decided to exercise their rights of free speech and demonstration and painted over the mural.
That’s not the way the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office sees it. Instead, local officials announced that they will be charging Anderson and Nelson with MULTIPLE misdemeanors and an actual hate crime to boot.
Hypocrisy They Name Is Diana Becton
And this is where the hypocrisy kicks in…
Contra Costa County DA Diana Becton’s statement on the matter displays the double standard for which the Left is famous: “We must address the root and byproduct of systemic racism in our country. The Black Lives Matter movement is an important civil rights cause that deserves all of our attention. The mural completed last weekend was a peaceful and powerful way to communicate the importance of Black lives in Contra Costa County and the country. We must continue to elevate discussions and actually listen to one another in an effort to heal our community and country.”
So citizens making street graffiti is “peaceful and powerful,” but citizens covering it up isn’t? Wasn’t the demonstration Anderson and Nelson a “peaceful and powerful” way to communicate displeasure and disagreement with the Marxist movement?
It seems that, in the eyes of Contra Costa’s DA, the “defacing” of a TEMPORARY mural (it wasn’t art, it was letters painted on a street) of a Marxist organization’s name is NOT ok – but defacing the memorial of dead soldiers, patriots, or historical figures IS ok.
Are these people for real?
Does that mean that any black person that rips down or defaces a white person’s memorial should be charged with a hate crime as well?
This is why the Left will never be able to get the support they need to survive…
Their constant double standards and hypocrisy make it so you can’t get on their level of thinking.
Same Planet, Different Worlds
It’s like two different species…
One that is beholden to facts, and one that is attached to their feelings.
One that calls it like it is, and one that calls it how they want it to be.
This is the fundamental difference between the Left and Right…
They’re willing to trample on facts and laws to get their way, but then they want to hold the other side to the letter of the law when they think they’ve been wronged.
The worst part is that BOTH sides of the political aisle were angered by what happened to George Floyd – but as soon as the Left started making it less about police brutality and more about “white vs. black,” they began losing their moral high ground.
They want to paint America as a racist country—but it isn’t.
When a black man can ascend to the highest office in the land, it lets you know that America is more about content of character than it is color of skin.
We’ve been getting closer and closer to Dr. King’s dream realized…
And now, the Left wants to take us further away.
