The science is in: Masks don’t work.

I know that is a controversial statement, but it shouldn’t be given the data that has emerged in the past year since the implementation of mask mandates began in the Spring of 2020.

Democrats flipped out when Texas and Mississippi ended their statewide mask mandates and predicted the apocalypse was coming in those states.

Except…cases and hospitalizations have declined significantly.

But guess what states are seeing a rise in cases? If you guessed New York, New Jersey, and Michigan—which have strict mask mandates—congratulations, you are correct!

If our freedom is going to be limited, the least our so-called experts could do would be to follow the science.

Well, a group in Florida has had enough and they are planning a mask burning march in Ft. Lauderdale next month.

While Florida has been open for business for sometime thanks to Governor Ron DeSantis, mask mandates still exist in a majority of Florida counties, including Broward country where the Maskless March is going to be held.

“You are invited to the Million Maskless March and Mask Burning, Saturday April 10, 2021 at 3pm at the Corner of A1A and Las Olas in Ft Lauderdale!,” writes protest organizer Chris Nelson.

“April 10 marks one year of mask tyranny in Broward County and we will mark that date with a celebration of freedom! It will feature recognition and prizes for those who have faithfully endured this last year, addresses from local leaders and activists and most importantly (and fun) a mask burning!” Nelson wrote.

And the science is on the side of Nelson and others who plan to attend.

A study in Denmark found that the masks are not the effective form of protection that we have been led to believe.

The New York Times reported, “From early April to early June, researchers at the University of Copenhagen recruited 6,024 participants who had been tested beforehand to be sure they were not infected with the coronavirus.

Half were given surgical masks and told to wear them when leaving their homes; the others were told not to wear masks in public.”

The researchers wrote the following:

“The recommendation to wear surgical masks to supplement other public health measures did not reduce the SARS-CoV-2 infection rate among wearers by more than 50% in a community with modest infection rates, some degree of social distancing, and uncommon general mask use. The data were compatible with lesser degrees of self-protection.”

And as previously mentioned, “the three lead states in the resurgence of cases are none other than New York, New Jersey, and Michigan,” wrote Daniel Horowitz over at the Blaze. “It is truly hard to find a place in these states where one can go indoors without a mask. Tether that to the federal mandate that began in early February, several weeks after cases were already going down, and you are left with the mystery of how cases went back up again long after the mandates were in place. Well, it’s the same way they spiked in the fall long after those same state mandates were fully complied with.”

Mask mandates were always unconstitutional to begin with and should never have been tolerated by the American people; too many of whom bought into the fear being jammed down our throats by the so-called experts.

If the science showed they actually worked, then Americans could make their own decision of whether they want to protect themselves; we don’t need the government to make our decisions for us.

It is an uncomfortable fact that freedom requires risk; we are in-charge of our own affairs, and if we want to put ourselves at risk, that is our prerogative.

But this point is irrelevant in this situation because masks don’t work and never will.

It is about time people like the maskless marchers in Florida took a stand for science and freedom!
