The violence and chaos going on in the streets of Venezuela right now is both sad and sickening.

Sad because the people of Venezuela are suffering and being forced to fight for their liberty…

And sickening because sitting dictator, Nicolas Maduro, would rather kill his own people than recognize his time in power is over, and he should step down and allow democracy to take hold.

What is taking place in the capital city of Caracas is a revolution…

And if there isn’t a major intervention soon by the United States, there’s no telling how many lives can and will be lost.

Revolution is what happens when you oppress to the breaking point…

Deprive them of food, water and electricity, and they’ll have no choice but to find a way to fight back.

This is what socialism gives us…

This is what happens when you try to consolidate power to a few key individuals, who live life high on the hog while the rest of the population is lucky to feed off the scraps that fall on the floor.

And this is what American liberals want?

This is the “utopian system” that they want to displace capitalism and democracy with?

No thanks…

You can take that kind of oppression and put it right where you should put the idea of a socialistic America — right down the toilet with the rest of the turd-like ideas that often emanate from the Left.

Death in the Streets of Caracas

People are dying in the streets of Caracas because they believed that socialism works and voted it in back in 1998 with the election of Hugo Chavez…

But now military vehicles are running them down and bullets are tearing through civilian protestors, because they’re understanding now that the attractiveness of socialism hides its truth. It’s nothing more than a smoke show used to disguise a disgusting thirst for power and control of those at the top of this demented pyramid scheme.

Why do Americans think things would be any different here?

Oh … because it’s “democratic socialism”?

Did you not know that ALL socialism starts out democratically? Hugo Chavez was elected into office…

Nicolas Madura was elected into office…

And now, they’re killing their own people.

Here’s the dirty little secret that a lot of conservatives won’t admit to — and that’s the fact that, in small doses — socialism works.

Public school systems? Not bad … could use a lot more privatization, but for the most part — it works.

Public transit? Something that also works — in small doses. Forcing everybody to take it would be a mistake of epic proportions.

Welfare? When it’s TRULY needed — is a great idea. But better to have people working on their own, than simply surviving by suckling off the government’s teat.

Social Security? Again — not a bad idea — though again, with more privatization could be thriving.

There are a few things that work…

But only in small doses – and for limited amounts of time. When you force the entire system to shift toward socialistic demands — it’s catastrophic.

Socialism DOES Work — For a BRIEF Amount of Time

Here’s the other thing about socialism that nobody on the Right is willing to talk about…

In the beginning — socialism is GREAT!

Everybody is getting taken care of because there’s plenty of money in the coffers to go around.

In Venezuela, that time was extended, as the money they were getting from their nationalized oil industry was keeping their population fed…

But the world is moving away from carbon-based fuels and toward renewables, and this shift has effected the price per barrel — something that’s been wreaking havoc on Venezuela’s economy.

Without that oil money coming in…

Who do you think felt the pinch? Maduro? Anybody in government? No…

It was the people who felt it the worst because when you don’t have a thriving economy with people buying, creating and selling goods for profits, there are no taxes collected.

With nobody to pay taxes and keep their socialist economy afloat…

It collapsed under its own weight, and you get what’s happening right now.

That’s what these rocket scientists want to bring to America?

Nope. It ain’t gonna fly.

You can keep your disorder, your chaos and your cronyism — we’ll keep our liberty, opportunity and capitalism.

It’s worked for more than 250 years so far…

It’ll work for 250 more.

“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” – Winston Churchill
