While nobody can explain exactly how this pandemic became one of the most politicized issues of 2020, the fact remains that responding to the outbreak of COVID-19 has become one of the most hotly-debated topics of the year.

Shelter in place vs. open up…masks vs. no masks…taking Hydroxychloroquine vs. not taking it…

If we sat here and discussed EVERY hot-button issue relating to the pandemic, you’d be hard-pressed to find even one area where the Right and Left completely agree.

All this partisan bias from both sides is pretty concerning because this virus kills people of ALL political persuasions indiscriminately. COVID-19 has claimed the lives of Democrats and Republicans alike, and with both sides of the aisle seeing heavy losses, you would think they’d be willing to work together.

But nothing could be further from the truth.

You can see that on a grand scale by looking at the difference between the states that are starting the reopening process and those that are actually EXTENDING their shelter-in-place orders.

The Left mocked the states that started opening a few weeks ago, talking about letting “natural selection” run its course, letting all the idiot Republicans go out and catch the coronavirus while the Democrats stayed safe—but so far, there hasn’t been a statistically significant spike in any of the states that have opened so far.

Meanwhile…

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is STUNNED to find that many of the new cases in his state are being found among the very people observing his lockdown orders.

What Are They Waiting For?

With the notable exception of the Carolinas, the decision to either extend or lift the lockdown has been split right down party lines, with Democrats across the country supporting stay-at-home orders.

But remember, the Dems have moved the goalposts this entire time. First, they said we were trying to “flatten the curve,” then it was “we’re waiting for a vaccine,” and now they’re just saying “this is our new normal, so get used to it.”

All this inconsistency has people wondering what they could possibly be waiting for.

The curve has flattened, the rate of death is falling, and according to all the latest numbers, we’ve been holding the virus at bay. By this point, people know the proper safety measures that will stop another massive spike in cases, and yet the Dems STILL want to keep their states closed. They still haven’t been clear until about exactly why they’re doing it…that is, until recently.

While discussing the possible return of organized sporting events, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said, “We need a vaccine, and we need to have mass quantities available… or we need to be able to test and be able to acknowledge that we’ve got some immunity that’s built up. We’re not there yet and until that happens I think all the organizers of these leagues understand how important it is that we act responsibly here.”

And she’s not the only one showing her hand. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has echoed her feelings.

A Cure Or A Vaccine? That Could Take YEARS!

He’s telling the people of his state, “You, too, should expect to continue with this for the foreseeable future. Until either a proven vaccine is in our midst or proven therapeutics are widely available, we cannot firmly enter the new normal, which eventually awaits us when life will once again return to all of our workplaces, downtowns and main streets. Most importantly, we will continue to be guided by the principle that public health creates economic health. And if we begin to see a backslide in public health, we will have to also pull back on the reins of our restart.”

Wait…

“Public health creates economic health?” How is that possible? How can people who don’t have money to buy food or medicine expect to be healthy?

What kind of backward thinking is going on in the Democratic Party?

Seriously…

Because here’s the truth: that cure or treatment that they’re waiting for may not be here for a LONG time…as in maybe not even by 2021.

What are Dems going to tell the people of their states when they get sick of living under oppressive authoritarian leadership and rise up like they’re doing in Michigan?

All Dems are doing is shortening the fuse of the powder keg they created…and the shorter the fuse, the quicker the keg explodes. All it needs is a little spark to set the whole thing off.

If you live in one of these states, our condolences to you.

If you live in the states opening up, congratulations—but please continue to be safe and show the rest of the country that we can do overcome the virus.
