An African American street preacher and journalist has paid the ultimate price for standing up for his political beliefs. Another black man has been killed in violence-ridden urban cities that are basically warzones…but where’s Black Lives Matter on this? Nowhere – because the victim was an ardent Trump supporter with heavy political involvement in his community.

BLM only cares about black people who are killed when it benefits them.

On Thursday, Bernell Trammell (known by “Ras Trammell”) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was gunned down in a reported drive-by shooting in broad daylight at his business. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, it is still unknown whether the incident was politically motivated or not and his killers remain at large. As of Sunday, they still have received no clues or tips.

Trammell was known as an outspoken street activist and preacher who had little money and didn’t even have a phone or internet. His storefront Expressions Journal Publication was covered in Bible verses and Trump 2020 signs, and he would often speak to community residents about his beliefs. He was well-known for walking around with his Trump signs and explaining why Trump is good for the black community.

Just hours before his death, Trammell did an interview with local journalist Armstrong Ramsone, who wanted to better understand Trammell’s views. Ramsone shared his discussions with Trammell via his online publication The God Degree. See the clip below.

Ramsone also wrote, “Earlier today he [Trammell] had mentioned to me ‘you wouldn’t guess the amount of hate I received from Black people,” perhaps pointing to a motive in his untimely death.

News about Trammell’s death quickly received national attention, prompting the Wisconsin GOP to take action. Chairman of the Wisconsin GOP Andrew Hitt put out a statement regarding the situation.

Chairman Hitt wrote, “It is tragic to learn of the senseless murder of Bernell Trammell, and I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. Because of Trammell’s well-known political activism and the possibility that his murder could be politically motivated, I respectfully request that United States Attorney Matthew Krueger open an investigation into this heinous crime. No American should fear for their personal safety because of where they live or their political affiliation,” he said.

Hitt added that a GOP campaign office opened just this year to do outreach in the black community that’s located only blocks away from Trammell’s storefront. Too close for comfort, Hitt told The Post, “This is personal”.

In reality, all Americans who are public about their support for the president should feel the same – that this is personal. Trump supporters are being targeted with violence, fired from their jobs, and killed for their beliefs across the country.

Just recently, FreedomWire published an article about a gay man who was killed because of his MAGA hat – that’s two in one month. Last month, during the George Floyd riots, a Trump supporter was dragged out of his car and beaten up by BLM “protestors.” I could go on with the examples, but you get the point. Trump supporters are under attack. Too often, we make the mistake of thinking things like this can’t happen to us, but it can. While we should be as politically vocal as we can, it is more important now than ever to be vigilant.
