I have been very critical of Bill Maher, host of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, in the past, and I suspect I will be in the future as well.

However, every once in a while, he says something that I agree with. I respect that he is an independent thinker and doesn’t parrot left-wing talking points like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.

He told Liberals that they needed to stop being so politically correct and triggered by everything and has called out radical Islam for what it is: violent.

In February, I wrote a column titled: “Bill Maher Mocks Republicans— ‘They Don’t Hate Us; They Want to Be Us.’”

In the article, I wrote that Maher told his audience that “The passed-over states are not just angry—they’re pissed off. They don’t hate us; they want to be us.”

Middle America wants nothing to do with the elitists in the cities. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If liberals continue to antagonize the Republicans in the middle of the country, they are more likely to turn out and vote Trump in 2020.

However, Maher finally said something I agreed with on a recent show.

Bill Maher Slams BDS Movement To Boycott Israel

Maher was discussing the latest controversy regarding Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib being denied a visit to Israel because of their support for the BDS movement which seeks to boycott Israel.

The Israeli government was enforcing a law that denies access to any person advocating for a boycott of Israel. Rashida Tlaib was eventually given permission to visit her 90-year old grandmother who lives in the West Bank, provided she didn’t advocate anti-Israel policies while she was there.

However, she couldn’t abide by that rule and refused the opportunity to visit her family.

Tlaib has been a supporter of the BDS movement and was one of only 17 Representatives to vote in support of the movement in Congress.

Bill Maher let her and the pro-BDS crowd have it, unloading on BDS supporters in an epic fashion.

On his show, he said: “It’s a bull**t purity test. BDS is a bull**t purity test by people who want to appear woke but actually slept through history class. It’s predicated on this notion—I think it’s very shallow thinking—that the Jews in Israel are mostly white and the Palestinians are browner, so they must be innocent and correct, and the Jews must be wrong.”

But Maher was just getting started:

“As if the occupation came right out of the blue, that this completely peaceful people found themselves occupied. Forget the intifadas and the suicide bombings and the rockets and how many wars.”

Boom!

Then the finale: “Let me read Omar Barghouti, one of the co-founders of the movement. His quote: ‘No rational Palestinian… would accept a Jewish state in Palestine.’ So that’s where that comes from, this movement, someone who doesn’t even want a Jewish state at all. Somehow this side never gets presented in the American media. It’s very odd.”

That was an awesome takedown!

He is correct: Israel has been far more accommodating of Palestinians than the other way around. If the Jews were under the thumb of the Palestinians, they would be treated far worse. There is no such thing as a Palestinian nation, and there never has been, despite what Leftists may tell you.

Score one for Bill Maher.

Nice to finally agree with him on something.
