Joe Biden wants to take your guns, and he has made no secret about this. Biden is an empty vessel with very few political principals, but banning guns is one of the few policies he has been consistent on.

He was a sponsor of the 1994 crime bill that banned so-called “assault rifles,” and now Biden wants to bring that rifle ban back. The Democrat nominee tweeted, “26 years ago today, the Senate passed 10-year bans on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines—it was an effort I was proud to champion. These bans saved lives, and Congress should have never let them expire. As president, I’ll take on the @NRA and we’ll ban them once again.”

Last year, Biden wrote an op-ed in the New York Times advocating for a ban on “assault weapons.” He wrote, “We have a huge problem with guns. Assault weapons—military-style firearms designed to fire rapidly—are a threat to our national security, and we should treat them as such. Anyone who pretends there’s nothing we can do is lying—and holding that view should be disqualifying for anyone seeking to lead our country.”

Translation: Anyone who disagrees with Joe is not fit to be president.

He continued: “Many police departments have reported an increase in criminals using assault weapons since 2004. And multiple analyses of the data around mass shootings provide evidence that, from 1994 to 2004, the years when assault weapons and high-capacity magazines were banned, there were fewer mass shootings—fewer deaths, fewer families needlessly destroyed.

There is overwhelming data showing that shootings committed with assault weapons kill more people than shootings with other types of guns. And that’s the point.”

Fact Check: False.

Facts are stubborn things, Joe. Here are a few.

According to data published by “Mother Jones,” 50% of the 114 mass shootings committed in the United States from 1982-2019 were committed using only handguns.

“12.2% of the 114 mass shootings committed in the United States from 1982-2019 were committed using only rifles.

24.5% of the 114 mass shootings committed in the United States from 1982-2019 were committed using a mix of handguns and rifles together.

Of the 934 deaths in mass shootings from 1982-2019, 385 (41.2%) happened in shootings in which handguns were the only firearms used.

Of the 934 deaths in mass shootings from 1982-2019, 182(19.4%) happened in shootings in which rifles were the only firearms used.

Of the 934 deaths in mass shootings from 1982-2019, 367 (38.3%) happened in shootings in which a mix of firearms was used.”

The FBI reported that, in 2017, 467 people were killed with “blunt objects (hammers, clubs, etc.),” while 403 were killed with rifles.

2017 crime figures showed 1,591 people were killed with “knives or cutting instruments” while 403 were killed with rifles.”

Biden’s running-mate Kamala Harris is also a gun grabber, as evidenced by the gun control plan she released when she was a presidential candidate. Her plan included an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, removal of gun manufacturers licenses, and an attempt to close the loophole that allows some domestic abusers to purchase guns if their victim is a wedded partner.

If Biden and Harris are really concerned about reducing homicides, then maybe they should sign an executive order banning blunt objects, as well as fists and feet.

According to their logic, they should be sliced off because, in 2015, more murders were committed using hands, fists, and feet than were committed with guns.

Joe Biden has entrusted Beto O’Rourke to lead his gun confiscation program. Yes, the same guy who once said, “hell yeah” we’re going to take your guns. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are the most extreme gun control ticket in American history. If they win, our Second Amendment rights are all but assuredly going to be taken from us.

And for the sake of our country, that can’t be allowed to happen.
