After witnessing the countless mistakes Joe Biden and his administration has made over the past eight months, Biden voters are regretting the decision they made in the November 2020 election.
Biden campaigned on being the empathetic, caring, and less dangerous candidate, but his actions and approach to almost every issue since taking the White House have shown Americans that he is the exact opposite.
Now, a rising number of Biden voters are experiencing “buyer’s remorse” amid the president’s incompetent and deadly decisions.
One-fifth, or 20 percent, of all likely voters regretted voting for Biden, according to a poll conducted last week by Zogby Analytics.
The poll surveyed 2,173 likely U.S. voters who voted for Biden in the 2020 election, between Aug. 5 and Aug. 13. The party breakdown for the research was 38 percent Democrat, 38 percent Republican, and 24 percent Independent.
Poll respondents who identified as Left-leaning or Democrat showed even more regret about voting blue in November, the research shows. About 27 percent of young adults aged 18 to 29 and 30 percent of middle-aged voters aged 30 to 49 indicated that they regret choosing Biden over former President Donald Trump.
Of Republicans who voted for Biden, 3 in 10 were remorseful about their vote.
When it came to the racial demographic, Hispanic (33%) and Black (25%) voters were more likely than White voters to regret voting for Biden.
Zogby Analytics, the company that conducted the poll, commented on its findings, stating that the most “interesting” part of the survey is that it was taken prior to the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“What’s interesting is our poll was taken before the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan,” the company stated. “While Biden tries to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, which blew through Louisiana last week, many Americans are not treating the recent events in Afghanistan lightly. Come next poll, many more voters might be expressing regret if Biden and company do not score a victory soon.”
Even before the Afghanistan troop withdrawal, morale across all Americans was declining amid rising gas prices, increasing inflation, and shaky foreign relations. Now that Biden’s vast miscalculations have resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. troops, injured 18 more, and abandoned hundreds of citizens, a poll taken today would likely show even higher regret among Biden voters.
