Joe Biden ran for president promising that he would “defeat the virus.” Well, that is yet another campaign promise that he hasn’t been able to deliver on.
It turns out that defeating a virus isn’t so easy after all. Biden wasn’t imbued with the superpower to end a worldwide pandemic with the wave of a hand.
Now, as things continue to get worse, Biden is lashing out at those who question his handling of the pandemic.
Last week, the Biden administration took aim at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has been one of the president’s most vocal critics on this particular issue.
The Biden administration despises Governor DeSantis for having the gall to actually follow the science and protect individual liberty by letting people live their lives and judging for themselves how much risk they are willing to take on.
And for that, Joe Biden is punishing the entire Sunshine State.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced that they would now be taking over the distribution of monoclonal antibodies used to treat the Delta Variant of coronavirus, which has run rampant in Florida this summer. The antibody treatment has been used heavily by health care providers in Florida, and with great success.
But now Biden won’t allow the Sunshine State to obtain all the antibodies they need…because, you know, equity…or something.
Newsweek reported the following:
“President Joe Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have publicly traded criticism over their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic as the federal government moves to prevent shortages of monoclonal antibodies.
The Biden administration is taking over the distribution of the antibodies, which are used to treat COVID-19, and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will now be in charge of distribution.
DeSantis strongly criticized the decision on Thursday because it will result in Florida receiving fewer monoclonal antibodies than it previously had. He pledged to ‘fight like hell’ to get the treatment to those in Florida who need it.”
This is essentially rationed government medical care…and that’s exactly what they do in socialist countries. So, if you like rationed care, you will love socialism.
The government is interfering in a market that should be driven by demand.
States like Florida and Texas need the treatments more than states where the virus isn’t surging right now.
But hey, at least all the states will have equal amounts of the antibodies, regardless of whether they actually need them.
Classic socialists: We can all suffer equally.
Only, in this case, states like Florida will share an unequal burden of the suffering, all in the name of “equity.”
This is the danger of having an administration that imposes equity for equity’s sake.
The pursuit of equity is going to cause people to die, but hey, at least those that die will die in the name of making sure everyone has an equal piece of the pie.
However, at least the Biden administration is finally acknowledging that there are treatment options for the virus other than the vaccine.
Biden and his fellow “experts” have long been obsessed with the vaccine, and scoff at those that advocate for other remedies to the virus like hydroxychloroquine and regeneron.
I know this might blow the so-called experts’ minds, but medical professionals have been able to treat people who get sick with other, non-vaccine remedies since the beginning of medicine.
But I realize I am a science denier and should just shut up and not voice my opinion. I am clearly pushing disinformation and should be censored into irrelevance for my sin.
Thankfully, the country still has leaders like Ron DeSantis who stand up to an oppressive federal government that is exploiting the pandemic to consolidate their power.
If Biden truly cared about the health of Floridians, he would get out of the way.
However, any rationally thinking person knows that is not his intention, because with liberals, their true intentions are never what they claim.
Seizing power…that is and always has been their aim.
Some things never change.
