Democrats love to redefine terms to fit their narrative. Socialism is now “democratic socialism,” based on the economies of Scandinavia (which are actually free markets with big government programs) rather than failed Communist states like Venezuela or the Soviet Union. Socialism is no longer the complete ownership of the means of production by the government.
They have redefined racism to fit their narrative of “systemic racism” that states that white people are inherently racist and only sweeping social changes made to their exact specifications will bring about justice under the law.
Now, with the confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett underway in the Senate, the Democrats are redefining what “court-packing” means as well. Traditionally, court-packing refers to adding more justices to the Supreme Court to benefit the party in power. FDR did this during his term and he was rebuked by members of his own party. The Supreme Court was ruling against his New Deal policies and he wanted to pack the court with friendly justices that would rule in his favor.
Democrats are now claiming that, by doing his Constitutional duty to fill judicial vacancies, Trump is guilty of packing the court and, by voting to confirm his nominee, Republicans are acting unconstitutionally. There is a term for this: gaslighting. Democrats think the American people are stupid, so they are trying to convince the people that Republicans are acting unconstitutionally by appointing a new judge to the highest court in the land.
It takes an epic feat of mental gymnastics to make this redefined version of constitutionality stick. Article 2, section 2 of the U.S. Constitution reads: “he [the President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States.”
The Republicans have done exactly what they are bound to do by oath. President Trump nominated a judge, and the Senate is going to vote on whether Trump’s nominee will be placed on the Supreme Court.
Democrat nominee Joe Biden is now leading the gaslighting mission. He told reporters that “the only court-packing is going on right now. It’s going on with the Republicans packing the court now. It’s not constitutional what they’re doing. The fact is that the only packing going on is this court is being packed now by the Republicans after the vote has already begun. I’m going to stay focused on it so we don’t take our eyes off the ball here.”
When asked by a reporter whether he supports packing the court Biden responded by saying that “You’ll know my position on court-packing when the election is over.”
He then was asked a legitimate follow-up question over whether voters deserve to know whether he favored such a policy. He answered: “No, voters don’t deserve to know” about his position on court-packing.
That was an incredible statement, and he has received almost no pushback from the mainstream media. Biden openly stated that voters don’t “deserve” to hear his opinion on whether he plans on blowing up the third branch of our government.
Americans have to elect him first to find out where he stands. This sentiment is similar to what Nancy Pelosi said years ago about Obamacare: “We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.”
Change the wording around a little and you get the point as it applies to Biden’s stunningly ambiguous statement.
Biden and the Democrats pretend to be on the side of the people while they spend all their time insulting the intelligence of Americans. They do this to black voters, too, essentially pledging to do their thinking for them. They pay lip service to the black community every election cycle and then abandon them until the next campaign.
Or, to paraphrase the words of Joe Biden: If you don’t for the Dems, then “you ain’t black.”
Amy Coney Barret will be confirmed to the Supreme Court. The Democrats can try to redefine the words of the Constitution all they want, they can gaslight voters to their hearts’ content, but that won’t change the end result. Hopefully, the American people see through this charade and vote Republican in November.
If they are redefining terms in the minority, imagine what they will do when they actually have the power to put their new definitions into practice. That should motivate every American who reveres the Constitution to get out and vote Red. If the Democrats take over, the Constitution won’t mean the same thing anymore. Our founding document will be dead, likely never to return.
