After four years of America standing up to the terrorist regime in Iran under former President Trump, President Biden is predictably reverting back to the appeasement strategy of the Obama years.

Biden has been hell-bent on getting the US back into the Iran Nuclear Deal, which President Trump got the US out of in 2018.

President Biden is now offering to remove crippling sanctions that were imposed on Iran by the Trump administration.

The Wall Street Journal reported, “The Biden administration has signaled it is open to easing sanctions against critical elements of Iran’s economy, including oil and finance, helping narrow differences in nuclear talks, according to people familiar with the matter…

President Biden wants to return to the 2015 deal after former President Donald Trump withdrew in 2018. The U.S. decision to quit the deal and impose sweeping sanctions on Iran prompted Tehran to breach many of the key restrictions in the accord, making a return to the agreement’s provisions and limits difficult for both sides.”

Upon Biden being named the next president of the United States, Iran celebrated his victory knowing that they would roll over him like a bulldozer.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani—who the Obama administration claimed was “moderate”—gleefully said that he has “no doubt that the heroic national resistance of Iran is going to compel the future US government to bow…and the sanctions will be broken.”

And Rouhani has good reason to believe this, because Joe Biden has publicly stated that he would do all of the above. Writing an op-ed for CNN in September, Biden—or one of his aides—wrote the following:

“If Iran returns to strict compliance with the nuclear deal, the United States would rejoin the agreement as a starting point for follow-on negotiations and lift the sanctions on Iran that Trump imposed.”

It is foolhardy to remove the sanctions that have crippled the murderous Islamic regime. Thousands of protesters took to the streets last year to denounce the Mullahs for their handling of the economy, which was a direct result of the sanctions.

The more the economy continues to fall under the strain of American sanctions, the more likely there is of being an uprising against the Iranian regime.

Biden also shouldn’t trust the Iranians to keep their word. Before Trump tore up the Iran Nuclear Deal in 2018, the Iranians were violating the deal and they are doing the same today.

Iran cheats, and they always will.

National Review reported, “Today, especially in light of the actions taken by Iran since the U.S. withdrawal from the agreement, the failure of the JCPOA to block Iran’s path to a nuclear weapon is clear. All of these actions — retaining quantities of low-enriched uranium above the permitted level, enriching uranium to 60 percent, operating advanced centrifuges, producing uranium metal (which has only one purpose) — demonstrate that Tehran maintained the option under the agreement to break out whenever it chose to do so.”

Once again, President Biden is putting American national security in danger. All he has to do is leave the Trump sanctions on Iran for a better outcome, but Biden is determined to return to the flawed Iran nuclear deal.

And we all will be less safe because of him.
