Following his election victory, Joe Biden has called on Americans to unite. He will calm the stormy seas of discord, usher in an era of unity, and heal our nation’s broken soul…or something like that.

It sounds nice, but Biden isn’t practicing what he preaches. The president-elect continues to call for unity out of one side of his mouth while slamming Trump and his supporters out of the other side.

He didn’t miss a beat following last week’s Capitol Hill riots. Biden could have used that moment to call for calm and to acknowledge the concerns of conservatives, but instead, he denounced them and then went on to make an absurd claim.

Citing the violent BLM and ANTIFA riots from this summer, Biden said, “No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn’t have been treated very, very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol. We all know that’s true, and it is unacceptable.”

That is an actual statement that came out of his mouth. He can’t possibly believe what he just said.

For months this past summer, BLM rioters were allowed to burn and pillage cities across the nation without facing severe backlash or being brought to justice. They defiled public property, trashed businesses, and desecrated historic monuments.

All the while, they were treated with kid gloves by Democrat governors and city officials. The police were told to abandon precincts in Minneapolis and Seattle. Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan called the riots a “summer of love” and allowed wacko Leftists to establish an autonomous zone in the city…an experiment that quickly turned violent and only ended when Mayor Durkan herself was threatened.

But Joe Biden thinks that the rioters on Capitol Hill were treated better than those thugs? Numerous arrests and arrest warrants have been issued already for those involved last week, and one woman was shot and killed by police…something that didn’t happen during the BLM riots. Biden doesn’t even have his facts straight.

Jen O’Malley Dillon, one of Biden’s closest aides called Republicans a bunch of f***ers. Nothing says unity like calling your political opponents the F word.

O’Malley Dillon said, “The president-elect was able to connect with people over this sense of unity. In the primary, people would mock him, like, ‘You think you can work with Republicans?’ I’m not saying they’re not a bunch of f—ers. Mitch McConnell is terrible. But this sense that you couldn’t wish for that, you couldn’t wish for this bipartisan ideal? He rejected that.”

During the 2012 election, Biden told a group of black Americans that Mitt Romney wanted to put them “back in chains.”

Last December, Biden called a man a liar for asking him about his son’s dealings with Ukraine. The New York Times reported that Biden “lashed out at a voter who questioned his son’s overseas business dealings at a campaign stop in Iowa. Calling the man a ‘damn liar’ in an unusually heated exchange…

‘You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true. And no one has ever said that. No one has proved that.’”

During the campaign, Biden called a woman who asked him a question about his lagging campaign a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier.”

That is Unity Joe. If you believe he is going to unify the country, I have a timeshare to sell you in Belize.

Biden is the classic example of “rules for thee but not for me.” We are about to find this out the hard way on January 20th, when Captain Unity is sworn in as the 46th president of the United States.

But will we actually be all that unified when the day comes?
