Have you seen what’s going on in Hong Kong?

Honestly…

Have you really looked?

What’s going on there may be the biggest story in the world today…

And if it’s not, it should be.

The citizens of a democratic city are literally fighting for their freedoms—and their lives—against the threat of communism that is literally and figuratively at their doorstep.

People have been arrested, shot, and MURDERED all in the name of keeping the political system they were promised when Britain handed the province back to China.

That was the deal…

Hong Kong would remain a democracy, but only until 2047 when mainland China can implement whichever economic and political system they choose.

Can you guess which one they’ll install once they’re allowed?

But the communist leaders in China don’t want to wait another 30 years – they want Hong Kong to come under their thumb NOW.

The Attack On Liberty And Democracy

That’s what the law that started the protests was about. By being able to extradite Hong Kong citizens to mainland China for trail if they broke Chinese law, it was basically the EXACT same as coming under communist rule, just without all the extra pomp and circumstance.

Luckily, the citizens of Hong Kong aren’t as dumb as American Liberals and took to the streets as soon as they realized the scam that was about to be played on them.

The resolve of the citizens of Hong Kong is nothing short of astounding…

Which you would expect, seeing as their lives, livelihoods, and freedoms are all on the line. They’re not like fair-weather Libs of America who only show up when it’s convenient for them.

They showed up and have stayed strong since June…

But it’s come at a heavy price. One they’ve paid and one they’re willing to pay in a united front.

They are united, and they are rallying behind the fight for freedom.

However, what the Hong Kong people have adopted as an apropos symbol for their movement may surprise many on the Left, and nobody on the Right.

See, the people of Hong Kong have not only used America, our anthem, and the American flag as inspiration for their fight…

But they’ve made President Donald Trump as their main symbol of hope.

Our President, THEIR Hope

Recently, the citizens of Hong Kong marched on the city’s consulate in what was named a “March for Gratitude to the US” after Trump signed the “Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act into law…

The peaceful marchers showed up draped in red, white, and blue, Trump masks, and other America-themed clothing while carrying signs that read, “President Trump: Let’s Make Hong Kong Great Again”.

It’s incredible…

However, as an American, it’s heartbreaking to see.

The protestors are literally asking our president for help…

A banner that read, “President Trump, Please Liberate Hong Kong” – displayed proudly next to the “MHKGA” sign.

Unfortunately, our President can’t do much to help. Any action here could very well lead to an all-out war between China and the US…

So, unfortunately, other than symbolic support, Trump’s hands are tied.

But the protestors still marched on in peaceful protest…

But the peacefulness of the march didn’t last long…

The city’s riot police quickly moved in and started to arrest, beat, and harass the protestors in order to break up the event.

If this doesn’t make your blood boil, you’re probably a socialist or communist and probably think that the citizens of Hong Kong are getting what they deserve…

If you’re a patriot, though – and you realize what the TRUE price of freedom is – then the fact that these people need to protest at all more than likely makes you want to stomp a commie.

And the Liberals wonder why we feel the way we do about their policies and ideologies?

It’s because they’re in DIRECT conflict with those of freedom and liberty…

And we know this.

Giving our freedoms up to the government for comfort and ease of living is the first step down the road to genocide…

And it’s amazing how the Left doesn’t see this. Or maybe they do and they just don’t care.

Either way, conservatives will NEVER look at the loss of freedom by ANYBODY, save for criminals, as a good thing.

Hong Kong sees us through the pure eyes of the hopeful…

And we, as a nation, should act more like the country that the citizens think we are.

Because we STILL have greatness in us…

We just need to stop fighting long enough for people to realize and believe it.
