Ain’t no standard like a double standard…at least as far the Dems and the Left are concerned.
They don’t care about “fairness” or “equality”; to them, it’s their way or the highway.
Of course, their way can shift at any given time, depending on what they feel like standing for on that particular day.
But before we get into this latest double standard, let’s talk about what happened.
On Friday, January 20th, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the religious head of Iran tweeted out a picture of a golfer that looked eerily similar to Donald Trump under the shadow of a drone.
Translated from the original Persian, Khamenei wrote, “Revenge is inevitable Soleimani’s killer and the one who ordered Soleimani’s murder must take revenge. Although Soleimani’s shoes also have an honor over this killer; But he was wrong, it should be vengeance upon them; The competent of the murderer to know that they must take revenge at any possible time.”
While I believe there is something lost in translation, the intent of the tweet is clear: Iran wants to assassinate Donald Trump over the killing of terrorist General Qasem Soleimani, head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard.
It’s clear that the Ayatollah is declaring open season on Donald Trump.
Now, the media hasn’t said a word about this.
They haven’t expressed even a bit of outrage over the religious and state leader of a country that uses terrorist tactics THREATENING a former president of the United States.
Can you imagine if this were Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, or Barack Obama in that drone’s shadow?
The media would be up in arms, buzzing around like hornets and stoking outrage and anger in their audience.
But because it was Trump…crickets.
Not a word.
But that’s not the part that should really make Conservatives angry.
No, what should really hack you off is the fact that the Ayatollah could threaten a former US President with assassination and his Twitter account is still open.
Meanwhile, that same former President isn’t allowed on American-based social media platforms (which may be a blessing in disguise). The genocidal leader of a country that wishes death on our country, our allies, and our former president can tweet to his hearts content.
I think this meme sums it up rather succinctly:
Do you not see the problem here?
This right here, this very case that we’re talking about, lets you know that the banning of Donald Trump from social media has NOTHING to do with “safety” or Trump’s ability to “incite” violence.
But it had everything to do with the fact that his politics differ from the people that run these sites.
It’s the silencing of political ideology simply because they don’t agree with it…
Because if it were about safety and standards and whatnot, then the Ayatollah’s account would have been deactivated a long time ago.
As of this writing, the account is still active, and the Ayatollah can continue to tweet hate and murderous intent all he wants—but the 45th President of the United States can’t tell his supporters or fellow Americans to have a nice day.
This is what we mean about the double standards on the Left…
Now, they’re not even trying to hide the fact that their lackeys (Big Tech and the Mainstream Media) are biased. They’re emboldened by the “election” of Joe Biden and now feel as if they have carte blanche to do whatever they want to silence the Conservative voice.
Don’t let them…
Tell them who you are…
Remind them that this is STILL America and our values are still intact.
“We cannot use a double standard for measuring our own and other people’s policies. Our demands for democratic practices in other lands will be no more effective than the guarantees of those practiced in our own country.” – Hubert H. Humphrey
