Welcome to 21st Century America, where your life can be ruined simply because you’ve been accused of a crime, even if there’s NO evidence to suggest it actually happened.

That is what is happening to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The weakest member of the “Squad,” Arianna Pressley, announced on Tuesday that she will be filing articles of impeachment against Justice Kavanaugh following the newest sexual assault allegations against him.

Fox News reported that Pressley said “I believe Christine Blasey Ford. I believe Deborah Ramirez. It is our responsibility to collectively affirm the dignity and humanity of survivors.”

Pressley also used her personal Twitter account to retweet a post that included images of what appears to be text from the resolution. It calls for “Inquiring whether the House of Representatives should impeach Brett Michael Kavanaugh, Associate Justice for the Supreme Court of the United States of America,” and for the House Judiciary Committee to “conduct depositions and take affidavits, serving subpoenas if necessary.”

Pressley says she believes those women, and yet no evidence corroborates the stories of the accusers.

Nothing Has Been Proven

Christine Blasey Ford said that she was held down on a bed by Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge at a high school party and that the two boys then attempted to rape her.

However, no one that was supposedly at the party recalls the incident, including Ford’s best friend. Her own best friend doesn’t believe her story. Ford said that she was at the party, but her friend can’t recall anything about that night and she has even questioned whether the party ever took place.

Ford also doesn’t recall which house the party was at or how she got home the night she says Kavanagh sexually assaulted her. All told, there are ample reasons to believe that she is not telling the truth.

Deborah Ramirez’s accusation isn’t credible either. After consulting with her lawyers, she suddenly remembered that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party when they were younger.

If that happened, then why did she need to consult with her lawyers? Seems like that would have been a traumatizing event that wouldn’t require outside help to remember.

No one that she says was at the party has confirmed any of the details of her story, but some Democrats want Kavanaugh impeached anyway.

Over the weekend, The New York Times got egg all over their face when they ran a bogus story that claimed that Kavanaugh had his penis forced into the hand of a girl at a college party. The Times ran the story without providing one important detail: the alleged victim said it didn’t happen.

That is kind of an important detail to leave out.

Disagreement Among Democrats

Not all Democrats think impeaching Kavanaugh is a good idea, though.

National Review reported:

“‘Get real,’ Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin said of the appetite to impeach the conservative judge.

Top of Form

Bottom of Form

‘We’ve got to get beyond this ‘impeachment is the answer to every problem.’ It’s not realistic,’ Durbin said. ‘If that’s how we are identified in Congress, as the impeachment Congress, we run the risk that people will feel we’re ignoring the issues that mean a lot to them as families.’

“Mitch McConnell would block any impeachment. So that’s a moot point,” said Senator Patrick Leahy.

Besides, Democrats are ‘concentrating our resources on determining whether to impeach the president,’ said House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler. ‘It’s a consequential action, which we have to be able to justify.’

‘I’m saying nothing on Kavanaugh,” Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer said flat.”

The feelings of those senior Democrats are unlikely to persuade Pressley and her fellow Squad members to give up on impeachment. They clearly don’t believe in due process of law for all Americans.

Due process is dying in America, and Democrats like Pressley are killing it.
