With the impeachment inquiry now being voted an “official impeachment inquiry” (whatever that means) …

People are starting to line up on both sides of the aisle to either defend or accuse Trump.

However…

As with any conflict, there will be some people who will be caught in the crossfire – people who will have to testify and are sworn to tell the truth, regardless of their political affiliations.

People like Alexander Vindman, a colonel with the US Army that has become the focus of the phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky.

What did Vindman’s testimony say?

Vindman’s Statement: Just Facts

Well, in a selective leak by the Congress’s resident vermin, Adam Schiff, Vindman’s statement seemed to paint the president in a negative light.

“On July 21, 2019, President Zelensky’s party won parliamentary elections in a landslide victory. The NSC proposed that President Trump call President Zelensky to congratulate him. On July 25, 2019, the call occurred. I listened in on the call in the Situation Room with colleagues from the NSC and the office of the Vice President. As the transcript is in the public record, we are all aware of what was said. I was concerned by the call. I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for 6 the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine. I realized that if Ukraine pursued an investigation into the Bidens and Burisma, it would likely be interpreted as a partisan play which would undoubtedly result in Ukraine losing the bipartisan support it has thus far maintained. This would all undermine U.S. national security Following the call, I again reported my concerns to NSC’s lead counsel.”

Nothing he said points towards any quid pro quo from Trump to the Ukraine.

Nothing points towards corruption…

Wondering whether a conversation puts a strategic international relationship in jeopardy is a LEGITIMATE concern.

That being said…

He doesn’t deserve to be smeared.

In fact, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I believe our POTUS was premature in calling him a Never-Trumper.

There is no evidence that proves his political loyalties lie to one side or another…

In fact, there’s nothing to prove that Vindman is nothing more than the immigrant patriot that he seems to be.

Quit Smearing The Man Before The Whole Story Is Out

Vindman’s concern was the relationship between the US and the Ukraine and keeping that relationship healthy.

In his statement he even said as much: “The United States and Ukraine are and must remain strategic partners, working together to realize the shared vision of a stable, prosperous, and democratic Ukraine that is integrated into the Euro-Atlantic community. Our partnership is rooted in the idea that free citizens should be able to exercise their democratic rights, choose their own destiny, and live in peace.”

Of course, people are now pointing to the fact that he’s saying there have been omitted parts to the transcript of the call in question…

And also that Trump mentioned “Biden videos” – and, more than likely, he was talking about the VERY public video of Biden BRAGGING about holding money over the Ukraine’s head if they didn’t fire the prosecutor that was investigating his son and the company he worked for, Burisma Holdings.

Again…

This is nothing bad!

He’s not pointing to quid pro quo…

He’s not pointing to corruption…

Just explaining that there may have been more to the story.

So, before the Right starts smearing this man before we know anything about him or what he’s actually told the House committees, remember this:

He’s a decorated vet…

He deserves the respect that he’s earned for the sacrifices he’s made for our country.

Don’t condemn him yet…

So far, nothing proves he’s fighting against America’s best interests.

Overreacting and knee-jerk reactions are the domain of Leftists and Liberals…

Not conservatives.

We’re better than that…
